Norstar Aluminum Molds and Polimeros Mexicanos Announce Distribution Agreement for Mexico and Central American Markets

Cedarburg, WI - Norstar Aluminum Molds, a world leader in cast aluminum molds for the rotational molding industry, and Polimeros Mexicanos, a leading supplier of polyethylene resin for the Latin American rotational molding market, have finalized an agreement for the representation of Norstar's molds & products in Mexico. The agreement will allow for dedicated effort and continued development of the Mexican marketplace. This agreement with Polimeros Mexicanos, along with the manufacturing & servicing agreement with Maquinados Industriales Ayala in San Luis Potosi, will allow for better servicing of existing and new customers in Mexico & Central America.

With this agreement Polimeros Mexicanos is the exclusive distributor of Norstar's molds and other Norstar products e.g. catalog products, used molds, and services in Mexico.

Ravi Mehra, Managing Director of Norstar International LLC, feels the agreement is a significant step towards establishing the needed infrastructure for the development of cast aluminum rotational molds sales in Mexico and Latin America. According to Jose' Antonio Gomez Chacon, Director, Polimeros Mexicanos, based in the Mexico City, has serviced the Latin American rotational molding market since 1996, and currently services over 90% of rotational molders in Mexico. Polimeros Mexicanos exports their resins to 14 countries, including customers in Central and South America. According to Vivian Aguilar, Business Development Manager with Polimeros Mexicanos, "It (the partnership) is very beneficial for both Polimeros Mexicanos and Norstar Aluminum Molds. Founded originally as part of Kelch Corporation in 1957, Norstar Aluminum Molds became an independent corporation in 1998 as a result of a management buyout. Norstar currently operates two manufacturing facilities located in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and Middlefield, Ohio, for the manufacture of molds for the rotational molding industry. Norstar services the international rotational molding market through licensees and on a direct supply basis.
